im gonna push my blaster over a cliff real soon, cant drive it over a cliff cause it wont DRIVE, lol. i have posted on her a few timesnow trying to figure the problem, then i think i narrow it down, then im right back where i started. i bought a used 2000 blaster not running. brought it to a motor shop, they rebuilt it, new piston, rings, reeds, everything but carb work. i cleaned the carb myself 4 times now, took out ever jet, soaked, air blasted, checked the float. hooked everything back up. the motor starts right up, idles great, but i put it in gear and try to go and it bogs big time and dies. i dissconected the TORS using the DIY on this forum, that made no difference. i brought it back to a yamaha dealer today, they listened to it and told me something about a "safety" that is supposed to be connected to the brake missing. he told me its an electrical problem and i needed to find the two wires that used to connect to the safety and tie them together. i found an orange and plack wire with a plug on the end not connected to anything, i tied them together. STILL NOTHING. i just want to ride this thing. i've already spent a small fortune getting it running, but all it'll do is idle. if i can find an easy fix without having to spend $70/hour to have them touch it again i'd be very thankful. p.s. it has #230 main jet right now, the temp is about 68 ifthis means anything. the plug is brand new. any suggestions. anybody know anything about this brake safety thingy?
