I have a rear brake caliper off of a 2004 YFZ450 w/ a raptor bracket. I have rebuilt and bench tested my master cylinder 2x. I also have taken out the piston in the caliper and replaced the seals w/ genuine yamaha parts. There are no leaks. The problem is I sometimes leave my blaster sitting for a couple of months at a time. Well the brake piston keeps seizing up!!!! It won't move for anything. I know I can push it out with compressed air and lube up the seals with brake fluid but that's getting old. How can I prevent this from happening. Has anyone else had this issue with their brake calipers? Am I doing something wrong!?

when you are done riding , push them back into the bore and operate them back out , then push in again let them sit like that . Maybe that will help

agreed, if i leave my ol lady sit for months at a time, i guarentee her caliper would sieze up too, but with daily use the piston slides right in

but seriously, how are the pads?? if worn the piston has a tendency to come out too far, new pads will keep it in there where it belongs, and also, i have had zero issues with the
30+ gsxr1000 calipers i have used in my kits, and i just started really riding mine after sitting for a few months during my motor work, works like a champ
and is this on a moveable blaster disc or the stationary style on banshees?? i think that caliper is made to slide, is it now?? if its staionary it should be on an 88-02 style disc, not a stationary one, either the disc or caliper has to be moveable
