well here it is.
hopefully i'll have a pretty nasty puller by august. drove it home about 60miles, and before i drove it anymore, pulled the injection pump off and its on its way to diesel performance engineering to get the works done to it. also have a bunch of goodies on the way while its down..

pics of my new 95 cummins.
she looks rough, but i got it for a steal

Get some smoke stacks on that. Isn't that what you do with diessel trucks?

if your an idiot you do. diesel trucks arent all about just blowing black smoke. only fools who own them think that. a properly tuned efficient diesel wont smoke much at all unless your in the 1000's of hp's and several thousand ft.lb's of torque range. which isnt as hard as you'd think to get there

yeah its a bit rediculous. the diesel stuff is all pretty new to me but i have a buddy with a roughly 800hp compound turbo cummins who is helping me with everything. i thought the black smoke was just something they all pretty much do when you add power, but thats just the idiots who take the fuel plates out of cummins and put big sh*tty chips in the other trucks. they have too much fuel and its not tuned. yeah they may make some power, but not as much as they could. and black smoke just means higher egt's which is very bad on these engines. i'll probably put a single stack in it because i think some trucks look good with them, but i'm not gonna shoot for blowing black smoke all over everything

its got 210k on it. its pretty high, but its the only one i found like it that wasnt rotted out. i dont like the color either. but its gonna be a fun project. 210k on a cummins isnt too high though. especially considering i didnt even pay 3k for it

well it will blow black smoke... BUT it should only blow black well the turbo is spooling then it should go greyish tominimal smnoke..

my buddys truck is makin over 500 hp on a big single turbo and its getting twins very very soon (i think tommrow) o rings and head studs

i plan on painting the truck either a candy red color or the new dark dodge blue either this fall or next spring. i wanna get the motor up to decent respectable numbers with just fueling and small intake/exhaust mods (350-400hp) before i go to the body, which shouldnt be too hard. but when i move to the body, the engine is coming out for a complete overhaul and it will be o-ringed and cammed and everything. thats when i hope to be able to come up with a compound turbo setup and get into the way higher numbers. i have big hopes for this truck, i know. but i watched a friend of mine go through the same exact stuff on his, and i see where he is at now and he is helping me with mine. i am confident that it will get there

I like it; looks like you got a pretty good deal! This truck's not THAT rough; you should see one of the Dodge work trucks out back where I work...Ugly as hell, but it keeps on going and we've never had any major problems with it besides transmission and torque converter failures. Got somewhere around 270K on its old 12V Cummins.

aint to bad, them cummins are torque monsters and easily go over 350k before an overhaul like said before, and my uncles stock f350 with an aftermarket 108mm turbo pushes the smoke out once your over 4k but thats it, and gets about 19 mph wich isnt to bad id say

I think that truck would look sick with some offset rims, and some off road tires.I:I

i plan on putting 18''s on it sometime with 33" offroad tires. and a 2" leveling kit in the front. thats pretty much the setup of a buddy of mine's truck and it looks killer. i just have to decide on rims and tires. and i need to get a tailgate and make my bumpers first.

i bought new headlights for it and installed them. the old ones were so fogged over that i could bearly get any light with them even with silverstars. so i bought these, and still waiting on my hid kit to show up. i wont have a problem of lack of light anymore I:I
