I just joined, but I spent the last week reading alot of the threads. I was looking for info on shaving the head. I had know idea about rechambering these. very helpful site. Thanks!

Thanks guys! I do own a banshee as well. I'm hoping to be a help as well to some of the younger kids out here learning, its nice to see a site that's patient with some of the questions that get asked. Some other sites would just lay into people. Anyhow I picked up a mid 90s blaster for 400 bucks a couple years back, still on its original piston. At first glance i was going to treat the rebuild like a banshee. Timing upgrade, and pipe during....but after looking it seems the head might be my first line of attack. Also I'm absolutely dying to do some clean up on a cylinder, just hard to justify when its so reasonable to have done. I've also noticed used pipes for these seem tougher to find, or am just not searching the right spots?
The stock pipe is really going to hold a re chambered head back some.
