Symptoms of blow-by

Well not sure if it matters on a 2 stroke.(could be wrong though) You would have power loss.

On a 4 stroke it would pressurize the crankcase but thats why you have a vent tube or you would notice the oil getting diluted over time.....etc.

I cant answer that. lol I havent been around 2 strokes that much. Maybe one of the tuners on here can answer it.

What kind of noise are you hearing?

When my engine blew up recently i was riding in like 5th gear pinned and it lost all power, took it home and my rings and piston were done. Take the top end off and check it out. Whats the compression like? Was it ever rebuilt?

i think if you take off the cylinder and take a look under and around the inside of the piston/piston skirt you might be able to see burning or something. idk just a guess.

i had some blow by on my stock piston an it was burnt a lil bit around the sides an a lil bit on the bottom i had a slight knock that i started to notice

It seems like I have a slight knock also. Its a bit more than the usual idle noise. Also once it gets hot like after 20 or so mins of riding it loses some power, not like a huge amount, just enough to notice..... not as much "hit"

If I remove my head will I need news gaskets? Any time I've ever taken a head off it needed a rebuild anyways.
When I bought my blaster it was supposed to have a fresh top end, it might not have been broke it correctly.

the head gasket cant be reused its not a regular gasket but if your careful some people say you can reuse the base gasket if you do end up needing a topend look on ebay for a guy called rjatv hes a buddy of flotecs i believe he has piston an gasket sets in all sizes for a good price an hes a good guy to boot
