You guys have any experience with these? Instead of Tearing down my blaster and building it back up, I'm thinking about buying an LTR-450 with a blown motor or seized etc as long as it needs work and tearing it down and building it back up. Because guys honestly for some reason I feel like I'm going to regret purchasing my blaster for some reason :(... Its not nearly as fast as my brother rappy 660 and no where near an LTR-450 and I always had my eye on the LTR-450 just being such a nice quad (Only would purchase in white with a blingstar graphic kit.

And the main reason for regret in purchase: I'm 6ft 220lbs and I feel like its just a small machine and not that fast. I know when I get on the rappy its bigger and nicer and sportier and faster.

But I just messed up and rushed the purchase of this blaster. But hey lets make it worth while till I have the money for an ltr-450 lol.

What do you guys think? Any one on here have one?

Thanks in advanced for your opinions guys...

And instead of building up the Blasty I think I'm going to put that money towards the LTR-450

I know that the rear shock fits blasters as long as you get Ken Oconnors 400ex bushings. (Experienced LTR450 Rear Shock on my blaster)

I wanna try avoiding swapping parts from other quads if possible excepts for yfz450 heel guards that I'm going to do.

Yeah? My cousin has a Quadzilla 500cc Suzuki... OMG that thing rippsss... But honestly I trail rode my blaster and had a balll muchhh better than I thought it would be. Over all I'm actually very happy with the blaster, but I'm probably going to end up getting a Raptor 660 instead because of the convenience of the reverse once I sell my dirtbike if anyones interested...

Take a look at a z400 for a 4 stroke trail bike. Its one of the best 4s trail bikes imo.

Doug Gust and his mechanic had and did that. Then the factory's cought on after a year and a half of that crazy sh!t and then them bent him over with the Honda 450R and five falve yamaha 450 for the next 4 years then he got tired of it and retired regretfully I think. Then after a year later in 06 they brought out the fuel injected quad and destroyed everyone cause of it's power FI and wide handeling and low profile. I like em there nice to look at but thats about it for me

doug gust raced the ltr450 all the way up to 2009, then they dropped him and picked up creamer.

oh, and I would stay away from the Suzuki...

they blow 3rd gear's like every 100 hours or under.

Not 100% sure which I'm going to get yet. I'll mostly end up with another Rappy...

I've never herd of the tranny problems before (shrug) suzuki quads are pretty strong runners for the most part but you can forget about about the power on top compared to the other 450's cause the LTR is a motocross specific bike and they built it specificly for power down low and in the mid. although you wouldent notice coming from blaster. you'll feel it all over but like I said no power up top compared to the other 450'S

where do you get your info???

the LTR is known for it's super weak low-end power. but amazing mid-top ends power... the new yamaha yfz450r is the same way.

Dirt wheels magazine june 2006 quote about raceing it comment"Even though the Honda is faster(stock) than the Yamaha or the suzuki, if it were our hard erned money we would invest it it the Suzuki. Since there is only one start and lots more corners on any race track the time you made up on the Honda and Yamaha off the start would eventually be lost to the Suzuki's better cornering skills. Add all those turns together on the LT-R450 and you will come up with a faster lap times overall than the Honda and Yamaha" final desicion Quote "In a high performance motocross race shootout we would rank the Suzuki first yamaha second and Honda a very close third. All three machines can be modified to win races. It's just that you will not have to spend as much money on the Suzuki R450." However to gain more top end pull to keep up with the others for trail riding we would sudjest the Yoshamura cherry bomb and Yoshamura full race exaust for our next shootout comparison

My brother has an 05 rappy and my cousin has an 02 rappy with a yoshimura pipe... All I could do was stare listen and drool.
