back then cheater amps were the sh*t 100 watts@4ohm and then bam 1500@1/2ohm(that was alot back then lol) wish i still had my hcca 2250 a real man of an amp.
but you may want get rid of the p.o.s boss amp now cause you'll be buying a new one soon cause their pretty sh*tty and dont do even close to what they rate them at and they put out a signal so dirty that buy the time you go in to clipping it wont even matter lol. case in point, i built a box for 4 kicker cvr12s 6cuft@36Hz and he went and bought a boss amp that said 3000w but if you know any thing about amps you know amps that big are fused from the outside and about 2ft long. the amp was 1ohm stable but got hot enough to cook on and the only way to get output form it was to turn the gain 3/4 or more. i sold him one of my memphis 1000s and that sh*t was night and day. gain set at 4v, no bass boost and loud was turned off on the h.u. i've built louder stuff but for what it is in a ford ranger extended cab it gets down pretty good.

the old rockford, soundstream, ppi's man those were the amps to buy. i was always a fan of the refrence soundstreams. but im getting old, the younger croud may have something better nowadays.
im running a MTX right now and i love it.. d-class mtx are really good imo. ive pumped the bass bridged all the way from north florida to south florida with no cutting out.

man im younger then you mr but do you rember the BD1500 from rockford that amp was a killer... i also miss my old alpine V12 1500 also under rated an it would push almost 1800 to my 2 kicker L7's in my geo metro... that was badass. blew out my one of my brothers windows in his kitchen... that cost me 185 bucks o well it was worth it lol
screww you guys!! i had old school.. i had a 10 inch alpine.. with the pulp cone? looked like tree pulp pressed andglued, with a magnet lol.. it wailed!!

the best of the new stuff is no longer in the main stream brands their was a time when you could go to a local shop and get the goods but thats not so much the case anymore.

if i ever do a system again. for loud and sounding good its gonna go something like this... well for the trunk end of it..
