Ok this might seem like adumb question but i have no idea. Any ways is there any way to tell by looking at a motor if it is a stroker? I'm asking because i have an xtra frame and almost all i need to build yet another quad and a motor just poped up on cl and the guy says it has a vitos stroker motor in it. Is there any way i can confirm this without taking it apart? Also if i can confirm this what is a round about price for a newer rebuilt stroker? He said he is parting it out because he will get more parting it out than all together. That i can't dispute because he is right...

i believe yes you can tell by a spacer plate at the bottom of the cylinder,

That's what i was thinking... its a spacer plate right? Not just a super thick gasket. I know that sounds stupid but I've never felt with a2 stroke stroker.. it could the spacer be on the top of the cylinder between head and cylinder? Hence 2 head gaskets so that wouldn't make sense n/m. So it would be between cases and cylinder, 2 gaskets i should see and a spacer? Or could it be one really thick gasket? Actually a gasket wouldn't be that thick. I think i answer my own question maybe. But all in all there should definetly be a spacer, there's no longer cylinders made for a longer stroke? Right????

Here is a pic of the spacer plate. I spoke with KOR today and he builds them without a spacer plate. You have to send him your whole engine and he measures everything/cuts from there because there are variations from one crank to another.

You will be able to see the spacer plate easily. BUT when you get the head mod there is no need for a spacer plate (like our orange/black bike) so technically it could be a 3mm motor without a spacer plate. Usually people will leave the spacer plate though.

If there's no spacer, pull the head and see if its been cut for a stroked. You can't just take the guys word for it. You need proof.

Leastwise on a Banshee 4mil the base spacer raises the ex port height to near drag timing. My son's uses this :CYLINDER HEAD PLATE FOR 4MM.... Most use a cool head with stroker domesThe disadvantage on a Blaster using a base spacer is that the floor of the port is still lower than the top of piston @BDC, plus it raises the port roofs.

Also you could pull the spark plug and using a plastic straw, insert it into hole. Find TDC, mark straw, find BDC, mark straw, measure. Bamm.

That sounds like the easiest way for me than to take the head off. What Would the measurement be for stock? Than i just add 3 mil on top of that and see if it matches up. The guy wants 450$ he's pretty local to me so i might try and check it out tomorrow.. he says it's only got less than a week of time on it.. he wanted to sell whole bike but he said parting it out he will make more. I agree on that but i don't trust any one.. i could use the motor because i have an xtra frame and plastics laying around well basically a roller minus a few little things.. i don't want to pass up a stroker for a good price..

Btw, thanks for the help guys. I hope this thing checks out. If not,,,, i got the itch i think and something needs to come apart so i can do some work. I might be backwards but i think i like working on these things just as much as i like riding them..
