Hi I just recently bought my blaster and I want to know what crankshaft is better 3 mm or 4 mm , also I want to know what mods do I need to do to have either of them installed, my engine was bad it had a bore of 68.00 should i make it 68.25 and the stroke crankshaft ?

go with a 3mill, u will need ur cases trenched if u want to get a 4mill, and there isnt all that much diffence between the 2 anyway...u will prolly need a new cylinder or sleeve because a 68mm bore is the safest max bore u can go...

The 3 mil is made by Vito's. It comes with stuffer blocks, a spacer plate and two paper base gaskets. Case trenching isn't required with this crank because the big end of the rod is smaller than stock. The 4 mil stroker is made by Hot Rods. This kit requires that the cases be trenched and the head machined to accept the additional stroke. The 4 mil uses a standard size rod. Both kits will benefit from cylinder porting to compensate for the additional stroke. If you decide to go with the 4 mil, the cases will need to be set up on a mill and have 3 mm removed from the surface of the crankcase. This needs to be done on center to the outer race of the bearing, not the surface of the crankcase.

I would go with the +3 and you can run a 68.25 its a .90 over but it will be on the last bore. After that you can resleeve with a 240 sleeve or even get a 240 kit. You can also find jugs on ebay or here from time. To time

thank you very much I will probably do this last to see how it runs and will buy the 3mm i really appreciate the help

how do I change the slevee?

The original sleeve has to be bored out of the aluminum cylinder to allow room to press the new sleeve into place. That's a job best left to professionals.... Lots of machine shops can press new sleeves but not as many have experience with the big bore sleeve kits as the engine builders here (Ken O'Connor, Flotek, Wildcard racing, Chutzell)

a pro needs to resleeve.

If you dont go big bore i have a good cyl that needs a bore for sale hit me up if you want it.
