I have a stock carb that needs cleaned maybe even rebuilt but the housing is excellent so you could use yours and mine to make a good one. PM me if interested w/ zip and I'll send you a price.

I had that same issue with mine. I bought a used one off of here. In theory, you could maybe JB-weld around the top, cure, and then recut the threads, but the price of a die that large would probably be prohibitive, and it would be a half-ass repair at best.

they are very fine threads though, mine had the same issue. i actually soaked it with some wd-40 and then took a nice small wire brush and rubbed it out. threaded right on. and mine wouldnt even catch, could be dirt stuck in the threads. try cleaning before buying a new one.

LIL FYI if the top pops off while you are riding u will be wide open throttle. this is very bad when not expected. happened to my son on a china quad. do it right or u could be in the bushes or off the cliff!!

i bought a used carb off ebay and some1 had put 2 small hex screws in.1 on each side where the cap screws on cause it was stripped.
