starting issues

my quad is really starting to annoy me because it will not start kind of. what it does is, it starts after i kick it a hundred times then runs for 15 secs and shuts of. then kick so more and shut after 1 or 2 secs and then it continues to shut off after 1 or 2 secs. i've changed spark plugs and checked for spark. what happens is most of the time it dosent spark and every once in a while it does. anyone have an idea?

sounds like your tors is messing up. Try unplugging it

i dont know anything about my compression. thing is i have a tors eliminater on it so maybe thats the problem. thats my only mod

Did you jumper the wire at the carb?

actually i might know what you are talking about because when i first got the tors eliminator it wouldn't idle but now even if i ride away it still shuts off

is it the right sparkplug?lol umm yea id just make sure the tors eliminator is hooked up right. to check for decent enough compression just stick a little put of your finger and block the hole at the top ( where spark plug goes) and hav someone kick it over if you finger shoots out... your good! ( if you dont wanna use your finger then just find something that wont get stuck and mess up you topend cuz that = bad)

yup right spark plug and compression seem ok and check the wire to the throttle and it seemed too

ok i looked at the bottom of my quad and there is oil right below where the exhaust goes into the engine below the fins on top (sorry not exactly mechanic of the year) but there is also oily stuff on the engine next to the foot brake lever.
