Starting issue

I am having an issue trying to start my 92 blaster. The kickstarter used to slip without catching, but now it won't go down. It started doing this after I was racing against my dads 2000 warrior through our partly flooded yard. My first thought was i locked the motor up. So i decided to try to push start it, it started to turn over but wouldn't start. I think its the kickstarter, but since I really don't know what I'm doing i could use some suggestions what it could be.

you'll probably need to pull the clutch cover and take a look at it.


sounds like it may have locked up and pullstarting it broke it free

The only way the kickstart will move is by stomping on it several time to get it to move a little bit, otherwise it won't move. It feels like something is jammed but i don't know what. I'm in the process of taking the cover off (kickstart peg is rusted to the crank).
