I have a 02 Blaster, and I've owned it for roughly a month and a half. Well about...4 weeks ago, maybe more, I let it sit at home, gassed it up, topped off the oil, and let it sit to cool down after riding all afternoon. Well I turned the gas off and let it sit. Forgetting I had the gas off, I took it up the road, and it promptly stalled. Turned the gas on, kicked it a few good times and it started. Well since then, every time I pull the clutch in, it wants to stall. And I've had the idle up so high it would move by itself in first gear. I took my reeds out and saw one had a crack in the middle of it, and they were covered in dirt (I guess from me not running a filter). I'm getting new reeds, and I've soaked the carb in gas, and I'm going to take it apart and clean it when my new reeds come in. On a side note, the last people that owned it took HORRID care of it. The reeds were the same that came with it in '02, the rear brake line is dead, and the carb was all gunked up. You guys think cleaning the carb, and getting the new reeds will solve the problem?
