all it does is spin huh... maybe you shouldnt go lower with it.

you need more speed not power

bigger front, smaller rear = speed
smaller front, bigger rear = spinny

after you said you spun too much with 45t rear, i figured you had not known the ratio differences

go with 14:40
or even 14:38 with those 18"

We used to run 12:40 with a stock piped engine.

After fitting a KOR ported top end and hemi cut head, my lad took it for a run on bitumen and came back and told me he had no time to change gears.
We will be going back to 14:40.

Word of warning change sprockets and chains and make sure they are all new, especially with a 12 up front.

Chain breakage on mismatched chains and sprockets is all too often with disastrous results.

Dualstroke is the guy to answer your gearing questions, he is the drag guru.

I would do yeh, depends on if you cant shift fast or keep the revs up.

play around with this

try different sprocket sizes and tires.

I wouldnt want to try anything over 65 mph because you still need to be able to start without a slow clutch let out

dont change the gearing ratios, they are blaster specific.
I have a nice lone star ex swing arm on it th
With gearing that low you could run 25s :D

Tires are deffinately the problem.

FYI, Sprocket Specialties will make any sprocket you want.
so 22s would be ok with 13t front and 42t rear

You can run any sprocket 39 teeth or higher on a blaster. Just not sure who would ever use a 51-52 tooth rear sprocket on any blaster motor
