Spring Rate linked to Spring Color?

So I'm a noob and Can't seem to find an answer on the Web or Searching the forum.

Does the different color of the spring dictate the spring rate

I ask this cause my blaster a 99 has red springs and seems a little soft compared to my friends 2001 blaster that has white springs.

Also I have been on ebay looking for parts and see all sorts of colors.

nope, all blaster springs had the same spring rate....hard ass
as far as i know

check to see where the spring is set at the adjuster on top
