I found an old speedo at my farm and i was wondering if there was any way for me to hook it up to my warrior? It has one connection to the back that screws into something. It was bought separate so it was an aftermarket.

I'm no expert but I think the speed odometer works off of a gear in the transmission that measures the rotations and interperates it on the speed odometer so unfortunately I don't think it would be very accurate if an analog odometer was put on the blaster without coming up with a way to accurately measure the rotation of the transmission gears

just that alone i heard wont work unless u buy the computer too. scam i know... u buy 1 thinking its gonna work but then later find out u need their computer too. and idk about the rev working bc theres no sensor thingy in the motor.

thats not bad.. i thought u need the speedometer AND the computer. but if u buy it and put it on plz let us kno!! i'll get it all i need is sum1 to show me that it will work bc i dont wanna waste $

Yea but I want to know my top slow speed on a blaster.I was going to just get the temp gauge because that would help everyone out to know when to let the blaster cool down if needed. But that was $45 i think so I was like what the hell half way there I'm going to get the vapor. I think all you need is a battery thats why they said 03 and up. They have batteries on those right?

personal preference. theres MANY reasons y u'd want this. i like to know my MPH when i mess with my gearing and if u time ur runs. like 10 sec runs or quarter mile runs... u may not like it but some others do.

mine is a 03 and i have no battery. i dont think any blasters come with them. but u could get a ricky stator and a motorcycle battery and stick it in the tray under the seat

Maybe I think it is for the speed sensor. The have a different kit. one is for the drum brake the other is for the disc .. When I called they said it would work on my blaster but let me call again..

i think them vapors take batteries not sure but im sure as hell interested. if u get this on u gotta do a DIY bc its gonna influence me to get it too I:I
(theres this thread about speed and i was telling ppl my quad hit 69 top speed and ppl, i think the same that was doggin u out was basically saying im BSn about my speed. i didnt really care if no1 believes me or not)

the 2 kits would be for drum and disc for the sensor. you would not need a battery but the blaster has such inconsistant voltage i would never hook one of these to it. personally just get a lithium ion rechargable battery to hook to it. charge it in your house and hook it up b4 u ride

The speed on the vapor works by like this http://www.trailtech.net/media/instructions/computers/shared/010-ELV-04.pdf So try to find that on the speedo you found....the vapor can run by its battery but this will happen if you have a battery...... If possible, install Vapor to a 12
volt system:
• The backlight will be 10 times
brighter.
• Vapor will enter sleep mode
after 20 minutes instead of 5.
• The shift and and temperature
indicator LED’s will be
enabled
