Sparks per revolution

How many time does a spark plug fire per revolution? I need it to set a tachometer for a Blasty.

2 strokes once and 4 strokes once every 2 revolutions.

Spark on a 2 stroke occurs every time the piston gets to the top.

I know it "Ignites" at TDC, but i'm pretty sure it sparks more than once? If I ground the plug against the cylinder head and kick it sparks a few times each revolution.

thats because the engine is turning faster, because there is no compression since the spark plug is out. a spark plug sparks once-when the piston reaches the top of its stroke, or near it at least

We don't need no stinkin tach , when it stops pullin shift that beech . What kind of tach? Who has time to look at a tach? :-/
