something seems fishy

ok while in my hunt for a 4x4 i came across a 2009 grizzly 700. extremely low hours, It is practically brand new. hes asking $2500. I stand there and think its stolen. but i e-mailed him and he told me he would include a bill of sale. then i emailed him again asking, when can i come get it? he says "it is in ft myers florida in a package and ready to be shipped. now this is where it gets fishy, he says that were both 100% protected through ebay's protection plan. i asked for proof and since haven't heard back. i also asked him if he would take pay pal so that i feel more confident ( i asked him this about 10 minutes ago) so what do ya'll think?

way to good to be true and i have never seen a craigslist add like that.
but he did include the vin in the add so you can probably run that and see if it checks out
 
i'd see if you can run the VIN and then i'd make sure to use paypal and stuff, definitely document everything just so that you don't get stuck with receiving stolen property (if it turns out to be hot)
 
yeah, just take it to the courthouse and see if they can just check it to make sure it hasn't been reported stolen
 
this guys full of crap its a scam due to th fact of how his as look on cl email only theres no phone # the guy put way too much time into make it look good. scam they post crap up like this on cl in portland most poeple dont put there email ether they get emailed threw cl, two nice of a bike for that and i think that i have seen this one before and there one othere one yamaha utvs for sale too ad looks almost like this one so watch out.
 
One quick question. Why is he posting in the baltimore area if the quads in ft myers? Doesn't that seem a little odd? I'd say its a scam. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.
 
i wouldnt do it its a scam, do some searching ebay wont do any thing like that i have herd about this scam before, and i am pretty sure they can scam you threw paypal but i am sure its a little harder for them to do so. i would stick to local.
 
Its 1 a scam , or 2 was submerged and cleaned up . I'd only buy it in person , with the title in hand . It sucks cause people like this put up something like this , and just dangle the bait and wait for your " I gotta have it " reaction . Don't trust a phone number either , you can go into any 7-11 across the country or target etc and walk out with a prepaid cellphone that is untraceable . I'd get a address , Telephone number and take a road trip if you want it bad enough , You will totally see the reaction change if its a scam .

he says that he wants more peple to view his ad so he posted in many different areas. lol its a scam..... thanks a lot guys and +4 reps to you blasterboy because you decoded the vin lol
