it seems like every other time i try to ride my blaster it dosnt run and its realy pissing me off anybody have any ideas its getten spark and gas i kept fouling plugs today tring to start it but the last time i rode it it was a lil warmer if that makes a dif

i have to tell you looking at your mods, i think you are running a little on the rich side. i have about the same as you, and i only have a 250 main jet, and i bet i could get away with a 240.

what is your a/f ratio set at. it should be 1.5 turns out.

thats one prob its striped out cus the dumb ass i got it from do u think i should just get a aftermaket carb and it runs perfect one day and then the next it wont

the plug is black and wet witch means its runing ritch but it only dose it ever other time i ride

If it's "sooty" looking it's fuel fouled, if it's "shinny black" it's oil fouled, what oil and ratio are you mixing? and if your air screw is stripped you need a new carb body, stockers are easy to get and cheep too.

when rings wear and compression goes down you will start running richer

i have 120 comp and im runing 32 to 1 4 oz oil to a gallon i could have acadently added to much should i try to thin it out??

dont try and thin out your gas. then,you dont know what your running. you could thin it down to much. I would say since your running a 270 main and saying that your plug is black that you should down jet. Also, if your air fuel ratio isnt right then it is going to mess with how your quad is running.

Buying new stuff and throwing at er' will only make you more confused. Solve problem first, diagnose whats wrong and if needed replace that item.

Why cant it? I agree with fab and the d jackson. 270 is to big for a DG pipe, when i ran a dg it only took a 240. Not much more flow over stock.

o well i didnt think it would be cus the jetting and someone on here told me to get a 260 or 270 so i got it and it works half the time

Mabyee on colder days it runs better, and hot humid days it gets to rich with that main jet.

Carburetors are like woman, some days they are fine and its so smooth. Other days they are ill tempered and bitchy.
