well i just got a "driven" clutch for my 89 blaster, be first time doing it , where do i start, also . the bolt that is holding on the clutch basket is what size? its like thin walleD? metric something?

i take it you got the clutch cover/side engine cover off? well you can go ahead and whip off the 5 bolts holding down the springs, they are metric 8mm socket i think. take off the boss and remove the plates! the push rod has a lock nut on the boss/alloy cover. you will need to adjust this to get the tension on the push rod right, go to the general support section and get the downloadable manual, just follow the steps, very simple job

if the push rod tension isnt right could it cause my clutch not to grab well? sorry to threadjack

if the lock nut is too tight it can cause the clutch not to fully engage, and it it always partially disengaged, thus clutch slippage will occur, if its too loose your clutch lever will be all slack and wont be able to disengage the clutch!
