ASUS Rampage Formula X48 LGA 775 motherboard - $120 shipped OBO

Bought this thing new off Newegg on 12/7/2008, I have used this thing to house an overclocked E8400 @ 4.3 gHz with the Mushkin ram. I have never had any issues with the board, will come with the user manual and some misc cables as well as the original packaging. I do not have the sound card for it anymore. Has the newest BIOS revision.

Intel E8400 C2D - $70 shipped OBO

Bought this chip new off Newegg on 9/10/2008, this chip has been overclocked and is the E0 stepping. For the first month of use I let it sit at the stock 3 gHz, after that I was using it at 4 gHz with a core voltage of 1.3625v with the occasional benchmark run at 4.2 gHz to 4.3 gHz. After that i ran the chip at 4.3 gHz with a core voltage of ~1.41v, it has been like this for the past 6 or so months (rig has been torn down for about 2 months, the 6 months is usage time before i took down the rig with the intent to sell it). I have never had any issues with this chip and loved the hell out of it. Chip never saw above 75*C during stress testing and usually stayed around 50*~55*C while gaming. Used a thermaltake typhoon VX cooler on it w/ AS5 from the start until i wanted more out of the chip, then I switched over to a TRUE with dual Scythe Ultra Kazes when i had it running at 4.3 gHz. Comes with a free Intel Celeron chip that I used to flash the bios on the rampage formula so i could use the E8400 on it.

Mushkin Redline DDR2-1000 mHz RAM 4gb - $40 shipped OBO

Bought the RAM new off Newegg 1/11/2009. This ram has performed excellently for me. The RAM was never overclocked (voltage stayed stock, ram speed stayed 1000mhz~1050mHz while being much closer to the 1000mhz mark [FSB stayed around 500-507 with this ram], timings were never really played with).

rig isnt even together right now (obviously), i never really used either of those since i was mostly interested in my GPU's performance and my entires system performance as a whole. You could google the results that other ppl have gotten and get a ballpark of the scores it would get.

Orthos and Pi stress the cpu to tell if its stable at that overclock. I am guessing since these where never run it was not tested to be stable.

I can over clock anything and boot into windows for a cpuz screen grab and quick benchmark. But how did it perform running benchmark for 2 days straight is my concern about how the proc was taken care of.

I used intel burn test and Prime95, ran those for a looonnng time and neither would crash it (Intel Burn Test is brutal for testing, you might be able to run Prime95 for a long time, but it will fail quickly in ITB). Had it at that clock for many months with 0 stability issues, racked up a lot of gaming hours on it. I understand where you are coming from though, i put in a lot of time tweaking things just to make it 24/7 stable. I cant have my computer crashing in the middle of an important match, haha.

Price is good i rock Dfi gear though ;) and.....

*cough* Danger Den *cough*

for air cooling you just can't beat the TRUE, it can even keep up with some LC systems (not all mind you). Danger Den makes some nice stuff, if i was gonna go liquid cooling i would def grab some of their stuff.
