well i was out riding in snow, it ran great the first half hour. then it started to bog down, then it stalled out and backfired and couldn't get up to the power-band so i switched it to reserve and it ran again for a couple of muinutes but it once again stalled and i noticed there was dark liquid dripping from the shifter shaft (it could have been dirty water) and i dont know whats wrong. :-/

from your sig it looks like you are jetted a little lean. also have you done a leakdown test with your vforce reeds. they are notorious for air leaks. how long was it off between it bogging out and running on reserve

I would think 290 at least. since it's winter probably 300. that is enough time to cool down if it was overheating. if it's over heating it is probably a lean situation from the jetting or an air leak. when it bogged did it feal like something was holding you back almost? like the engine was having a hard time pulling?

how is ur airbox setup? cuz u could have sucked up some snoe/water. that will cause it to do the same thing. trust ive had it happen to me lol.

Like scott is saying...i'd guess u stuck the rings and then when it cooled it ran...not for long :/ time for compression check

p.s. scott been busy...gonna talk my wife into shipping it ...wish me luck

Im not running an air box lid but no snow got in there. I'll rejet. And yah, it seems to want to do it but just cant, i think its a heat issue. Does anyone have one of those heat stickers? And if so, does it work good?

a heat issue means melting piston. so you need to do a compression test. and if you have good compression. do the leakdown test

can you push the kickstart down with your hand and if so can you hear the piston going up and down quickly? if so your compression may be junk. i have heard of klotz oil sticking rings and popping top ends

for some reason it is really dark, it has no tiny metal shavings, a reason for that may be because i used about a half gallon of CHEAP oil and low octane gas. I might take it back into the dealer and let them do a leak down test and get new gaskets if needed.
