would it hurt to put a dg silencer on a stock exhaust?

the exhaust off the head is all rusted don't want to take chance and it go into the jug

try to put a little brake fluid on the parts that u need the rust to break loose i do that all the time at my shop it works wonders on rusted parts i want to get loose.

it has holes in it all ready. then there is loose rust in the exhaust.

ooh ok the dg silencer is ok, it wont hurt the stock exhaust tho post piks so i can see your lay out.

If there are holes in the header pipe if would be interfering with the breathing and could cause a lean mix.

Even a stock pipe requires a good gas seal to work correctly.

your absolutly rite and its not good to ride with holes anyway cause of dirt, water things of that sort ... i would chance it and try to get the old pipe off just cause either way , you cant ride until the holes are fixed or u have a new pipe
