hey guys these are just some pictures of my throttle valve/piston and needle do you think i should replace it with the current scratches/dents it has? heres some pictures

I would either use a fine/smooth file or crocus cloth/1000 grit sand paper just on the high spots to avoid the possibility of the slide sticking.
thanks i will definately sand it yeah i think that was what it was doing when i had it running the first day the carb would leak?
i found out the guy i bought this quad from ripped me off badX(X( he neglected it very badly and the quad engine was a mess he didnt tell me about anything that was wrong with it. the old owner grabbed it with plylers he said that he "cleaned out the carb" but im just finding out all of this in the last week.

pretty simple job, but thanks for the advice. I am getting an engine i am going to dis assemble then clean the cases and ship to ken oconner. My question is what should i use to clean the cases?
Depends on how clean you need them. Degrease , Ausome, Castrol Super Clean, Dawn dish soap. If you want real pretty consider soda blast. Don't know if K does that.
i looked up all the retail stores id have to most likely order that online? how good does it clean the cases?
