I see alot of people talking about upgrading front shocks to Banshee shocks. What are the benefits in doing this? Is it very noticable? This is my first blaster build so i'm looking some info. Thanks
personally i wouldnt waste the money on them but if u need them quick and u cant wait to save for something better, then yes, they arent much better than stock, i never really noticed a big difference...
That's exactly what i was wondering. Thanks. Also I read that the 400EX rear shock is a very good upgrade? Actually read there weren't really any aftermarket that would be better. Any input on that one?
well pretty much any aftermarket remote rez properly valved shock would be better(elka, works)
but The 400ex shock is a very good shock for the money i would highly reccomend it.
Some use the 250 r shock as well as the YFZ 450 shock but it is long.
The banshee shocks have 1/2" more travel than the blaster stocks and progressively wound springs. They are a budget upgrade but I wouldn't spend more than about $75 on a set in good shape.
The same recommendations every week. Banshee shocks, used works off ebay, snoop around the for sale section on here for something else.
I've been in the for sale thread all day checking for different stuff lol thanks for the input may try and pick up a set for now possibly what's requirements for posting in for sale/ wanted?
shocks are something you definitly should be cheap on. and you definitly get what you pay for. some used works or elkas will be 100x better then banshee shocks. and the 250r or 400ex rear shocks are better then stock, but once again you get what you pay for. aftermarket will always be better.
BAM supporting member so i should be able to find some good deals to get this project going! Thanks for the help guys ill see what suspension stuff i can find and go from there. Lots of good info 2 thumbs up!I:I
if your budget allows for some elkas they are worth their weight in gold, i run stage 2's and it handled everything at the track i threw at it and soaked it up. suspension is the main area thats gonna make your quad enjoyable to ride.
