when i first got my blaster i was riding and my shifter slipped. so i cranked it down and it never did it again the i bought my new one cuz the splines didnt look to good andi wanted a red one so i put it one and it didnt slip for a couple days then it did it again to it tightend it some more but i havent rode it cuz im polished my sprocket and hub. has this happend to anyone else should i get a new shift shaft the splines look fine what to you guys think i should do to make shure it doesnt happen again i dont wanna strip my new shifter

It would be easy to remove because lock tite is just like a time of rubber (plastic)compound just tap it with a hammer if you want to remove it.

Take a plier.. bend the "open" part of the shifter (the part where the screw is supposed to tightn the open part..) make the "gap" closer to so its harder to push on the threads but it still needs to be possible of corse.. then put the screw in, dont use locktite unless the screw is rattling out?!?! which I suppose it is not.

you could also just install and then bend the gap afterward with a plier .. makeing it more "tight" ..

Your problem is properly because the gap on the sh*ter where the screw goes down is too big.. therefore it is not properly tight.

What i ment with the lock tite is to put it on the spline of wich the shifter slides on to not the Bolt that tightens it.

hey hears a solution had the same problem wat i did was take the shifter off and the bolt out and took my cut off and made the gap big so it sqeezes together more try it out

you can also use some emery cloth or a thin file to make the gap bigger if you don't have a cut off wheel. done it a few times before and works like a charm.
