This winter i am rebuilding my blaster, stripping her down and painting and a lot of other stuff like a P&P, i am sending my engine down to this blaster specialist in the UK who has blasters doing 100mph no joke. Anyway my engine is running good touch wood, but i was thinking should i put a wesico piston in her because i don't want to have the engine ported and then for it to melt the piston and blow up. Or am i being stupid and just ride her till she blows? :-/:-/

Always do a rebuild. Get a machine shop to bore it .20 over then have whoever is porting it do their job then hone to final spec with a new wiseco piston. Do it right the first time.

how did i know 100mph would be hard for you to believe, well its true and yeah we use mph in the uk. The blasters are raced in something called supermoto which is an all tarmac race, they are geared up so they don't pull to good but have a high top speed.

I got this from the owner of the shop, they are not drag blasters by far and are slower off the start but have a higher top speed thanks to custop made sprockets and stuff to gear them up. I guess he could of meant his banshees but he said blasters and thats why i said it. But thanks Cochise for actually answering my question.

You sendind it to IanE.co.uk?

Was going to send my engine there a few months ago, but never got round to it

If its good i will maybe think about it

yeah its iane.co.uk, i have rode a mates blaster who has been ported by him and it flys.

now if anyone wants to have a argument with me then fine but send me a pm, and don't do it in a thread. Yeah i know 100mph is mentally fast for a blaster and i doubt it myself but i was simply saying what i was told so there is no need to call me a lyer. All i asked was should i but a wesico piston in jeez.
