well i have recently i am going to slowly start setting up a bit of a polishing gig to try and make some cash, working on getting some good polishing equiptment, and such. Not really any polishing services around here so i am sure i could find enough business to pay for my new toys lol

my question is, a cabinet media blaster would speed up the process, but is a big investment to throw out just to polish

so my question is, are any of u aware of what kind of rates people are charging for blasting, like i said it would be a cabinet blaster likely to start?

something like this Sand Blast Cabinet , Media blaster - Barrie Tools & Hardware For Sale - Kijiji Barrie Canada.

well my buddy has one an he charges by the item an not hrly... the sand you use cost roughly 19 bucks for a 40lb bag. thats r prices around here. so like if he has to do like say jsut an a arm he would charge like 10 bucks cause it would cost him roughly a quarter of a bag an also not much labor. sp he basiclly would of made like 5 dollars off that deal an thats about it. not much but yet hes only do the sand blasting not painting or powder coating tho ethier. basiclly clean up with a sand blaster then ther person can take it to paint or powder.

hope that helps out a lil :)

for got to mention we are in a really small poor area in iowa too. pry get more money out of a bigger town. lol

for got to mention do try forcein a bare banshee frame into one of those. no matter how hard you try you end up drunk by the end of the night still poundering if itll fit and also have boots full of sand an 4 hrs of clean up cause the sand blew everywhere. my bad lol

theres a place in near elmvale that does sandblasting but im not sure the rate because by the time the ass got back to me about doing my blaster frame.. i had bought three wire wheels and had the frame bare..... took me a little while to do.... If you want a project to mess with.. i got a full fmf exhaust that has seen better days... but i bet it would make one really convincing before and after shot...

I think i remember someone saying you can buy a gun online and make a blaster pretty cheap as well... i know my uncle has a cabinet sandblaster like the one you linked too... but if your planning on doing anything big ( which i assume is where the $$$$ is) the cabinet isnt gonna do you very much good....
