I just got a 2003 blaster Run great its soo fast keeps up with the 400's but wont idle when i stop it shuts off it to keep a little gas going to keep it on i cleaned the air filter changed the spark plug and sparyed carb cleaner in the crab and nothing where is the idle srew i found one but its by the in take so i think that the air/fuel any help i love this atv its so fast.

Well I tryed the way you said and it still dies and I only turned it a bit how much should I turn it and If that's not is it a costy fix? I just love the atv and want It to be right it fast ass heck but wont idle
hey my thinking of it is its a fail safe you just gotta keep it runnign but yea i would look into the idle screw, what i did was, from were it is, turn it half way and see, if not go a lil more..
I am Experiencing the same problem I turned my idle screw 3 turns clockwise and counter clockwise and nothing helped, im thinking it might be the parking break how do you remove it though???
im havin the same problems with my 06. i tried my idle screw and it did nothing at all. ill try tors thing on top of the carb tomorrow to see what happens.
If you get slack in your throttle cable by your thumb throttle, it will cut out thus only running when you give it gas. IF the cable is adjusted goofy or the carb is hanging up it could cause slack and activate the switch in your thumb throttle which is part of the tors.
I found the problem in the throttle box on the handlebar there is a sensor that touchs the metal and when i slide it out it idle perfict right away and i just taped it up and stuck it under the plastic and bar cover now it runs great and idle great thanks for the help
I didnt cut anything or go anywhere near the carp just in the little box where the throttle is so it runs great should i leave it i just taped the little sensor that was touching the metal plate just taped it and hidded it and i read to cut this wire and do this but i did my own and its working now and thoughs on that

i'll also look into this as part of my problem with my 06. hey ox btw how much did those training wheels on your kids pw cost you? just bought my lil girl a pw50 and i have got to buy a set of those.
ok here maybe part of my problem. the screw that you loosen to dump the trash from the carb is stripped see pic below it the one that the screw driver is pointed at. the po stripped it and i cant turn it. so what would you guys suggest for me to do to get the trash out?

just take out the 4 screws that hold the bowl on and u can clean it from there
thats the first thing that poped into my head after i posted that and actually looked at that pic
ok here is what i see with my seat off. i didnt find a triangle thing but i found this big screw type thing its flat head. is this the TORS on an 06 blaster?

so i just turn it to a point where it will start idling again? is there a way to do away with the TORS unit & what are the ups n downs of doing that?
