Runs and dies when put into gear

I'm wondering if someone can please help. I have a 1996 Blaster that in having problems. The engine will idle and you can rev it up in neutral. But, when it is put in gear it wasnts to die. Other times you can go about 100 feet OK, feathering it, and then it will sound flooded and die. What might the problem be?

start with the basics and go from there. completely clean your carb, check/change you're plug, clean airfilter, try some fresh gas. when i was rebuilding mine i took the petcock out of the tank and was surprised how nasty it was so you might wanna try cleaning that as well.

I did take the carb out and cleaned it thoroughly. I'm working on a new tank and shut off valve.

hay i'm having kinda the same prob. people told me to replace the crank seals. is your's spitting oil out the exhaust or smoking. if you can get it revved up does it make a loud poppin noise

hey i finally fixed mine. you need to replace the spark plug.
