i was just wondering if you guys know if i could hook up a rpm gauge to my blaster.I thought maybe hook it into the coil or something than you will get a reading. :)

o i ride it hard to the bar on every corner sideways so ya could i buy a sunpro car rpm gauge i want to see my perfect shift points and it will look sweet the gauge is a 9000rpm.So i just hook it up to the coil and it will work i will have to try it and see.what wire would i have to hook it up to some if would be nice thanks.

any info on were to put the wires.I think there are 3 wires ground, positive, one to light the gauge up at night.I need to know witch wire goes to the coil.

One positive for back light maybe a white.- probably headlight switch somewhere
One for ground power probably black. -anywhere really frame works
One Red for positive 12V.
One trigger wire which connects to the ground wire on the coil. Coils fire by making and breaking the ground wire. Tachs count those pulses. There is usually a jumper wire or switch on the back of the tach to select how many cylinders for the multiplier.

Yea I stole this. Does they tach say like 4 6 8 cyl on it? It should only take like 20 sec to test the wires by tape or something.

right on man that helped big time so easy eveyone should have a rpm gauge on there blasters.hey at least i wll know how far i can push that little 198cc motor lol thanks guys.i wll get back to this post when its done.

# More Features

i just cut a pasted off there web site.. it only like $107 of ebay brand new.im think about getting one.

ya i don't think the temp gauge would work because you would have to have a thermostat.water cooled motors ya but i don't think a air cooled can.

The vapor kit for the blasters uses a cylinder head temperature sensor that goes under your spark plug. It shows it right on their site so I'm not sure why people keep saying you need thermostat or radiator etc.

i had one on my old blasty, it works good but used it on my new blasty to tune it and then sold it :) i barely ever looked at it...goin to fast :)

I just installed a vapor yesterday but am waiting on some jets before putting the carb back on. Honestly, the temp sensor will probably never be looked as the blaster is my wife's. I'm not even sure what to set the hi temp alert for on the gauge. I can't find any mention of a certain temp in the service manual or owners manual. I'll probably just leave it on the default 290f

well if a car rpm gauge won't work what kinda rpm gauge will work.I hear people say that it will work and people say it won't work on this tread.ok someone got to know this come on that why i joined the fourm.
