looked all over but couldnt find much you may be able to get that thing to spark useing the blasters ignition coil and cdi just play with the wireing untill you find a spark. neither engine uses a revlimitor anyhow. does the motor make good compreshion? this will be an interesting build.

i havent measured the compression yet but if i put my finger on the spark plug hole i cant really push the kicker so its pretty good i cant wait to start on it its gonna be a beast

There is not way to counter balence that motor without alot of fab work. It doesnt have a lighting coil so you should only have 3 or 4 wires. What are the wire colors? The blasters coil might work but the cdi won't because it has a timing curve set up for a lil blasty not a monster 500.

^^^Good info there. Sounds like it would probably be a better idea to part that thing out and make some money to buy a YZ/WR engine.

yeah i got it off craigslist and yeah ive found out its an 83 or 84 and parts are hard to come by so im not sure what ima do its a good motor so ima probably run it till it goes boom and find something else and yeah its only got 3 wires so i fiqured 1 is ground 1 is cdi and 1 is coil but i dont know i have a black w/red a black w/white and red w/white but if someone can help it would be great

hmmmmm I'd say CARNZ would know. Those are not the way Yamaha colors them but I bet Mikes Zilla has the same color wires going to the different parts of the ignition.
On a Yamaha the 3 wires would be black to the frame, orange to the coil which is grounded to the frame, and black with white stripe to the kill switch which has its own ground to the frame.
So you looking at 1 to the coil, 1 to the frame, and 1 to the kill switch.
This is the way my Banshee is wired and some peeps don't believe you can run one like that since I deleted some 10-20 wires but it's true.

when he said 3 wires, i figure he means coming from the Magneto. two of those wires have to goto the CDI (source coil, and pulsar coil) and the black one is ground. then from the CDI, he would have his killswitch wire and coil wire
