revs up on its own??

old pics, but they work. Any discrepancys? Btw the little rubber piece is covering the oil inlet, which is only closed if you blocked off the oil injection, if not there should be a line runnin from the pump on your engine.

Pull the flywheel and the stator. The seal that is around the crank should be snug around the shaft. If it isn't, replace it. Once you get to it, pry it out with a flat head screwdriver (pry around the i.d. of the seal), oil the new one, and push it in. You will have to tap on it to get it all the way in. I used the square end of a 3/8 drive extension and just tapped around the seal until I got it seated.
