hey guys im selling my 2004 blaster because its been sitting in my garage. so im trying to get it back in full working/perfect condition. im having a problem getting it started so i jumped it off from behind the truck and as long as the truck was pulling it, it ran but never went any faster then it was being pulled . once it was under its own power it would die. is this a carb issue im assuming. but anyone have any ideas/ comments?

If it's been sitting for a long time with gas in the tank, you need to clean the whole fuel system. Pull the carb apart and clean it very well.

Carb is probably all gunked up. Deffinately want to drain the gas, clean your petcock, clean your carb, get a new spark plug and then try to get it to run. Guarantee it will

im getting a rebuild kit tomorrow, already got the new plug fuel oil and what not. i could get it to turn over and idle for min but would just die out. it did that a few times before i pulled it off. think the rings would still be at risk?

Spray a little bit of wd40 down in there after a compression test and if the needle goes higher be concerned. The carb and gas are highly suspect here drain and clean everything that the gas was in and hopefully she purs like a kitten. If you have to pull start it going any higher than 20mph isint recomended. From personal exp.

took apart carb today the needle valve was completely stuck and not budging so ordering a new set tomorrow thanks alot guys
