I have a k&n filter, dg exhaust and am going to have vforce v3 reeds on in a couple days. am i going to have to rejet the carb?

alright so what is the stock size, and would would you recommend me rejetting it to. if you wouldnt mind helpin a brotha out haha

stock is 220 or 230 depending on elevation. get jets from like 240-280 and start big and work your way down

Jetting the main is usually done by plug chop, ride the bike at full revs loaded in say 4th gear, hit and hold the kill switch in till the bike rolls to a stop.Look for a milk coffee colour on the porcelain, use a used plug that has already coloured up,Grey or white plugs are too lean, black coffee is too rich.

The DG is barely an improvement over stock, so if rejetting follow for airbox lid delete and you reeds.

When jetting they say to get into the ballpark, go bigger, and do a WOT run, and if your bike bogs at WOT, its too rich. Drop a size, keep going down till you get it to not bog, then start doing plug chops.

Plug chops is when you warm the quad up, get it to normal operating temp, turn it off, change the plug, start it up and immediately go WOT, stay WOT, and turn the switch off and in on the clutch and pull out the plug and read it.

alright thanks for the info guys. im putting the reeds in tomorrow and am going to try a 260 right away
