Just picked up this blaster for 1000$ just ordered a jet kit looking for some reed info. Im not sure what reeds i have looking to jet it correctly and cant with out knowing what i have. Is there a stamp or way to tell with out pulling it out if i need to do so im going to order a full gasket kit and pull it apart down to the frame snd just figure out what the hell i bought. I haveknn filter no box fmf gold series pipe fmf power core2 muffler stock carb wisaco piston hot cranks rod i have no specs on what parts are trufully in it stock head original bore suposably. I know its going to be a biotch to jet it with out knowing but im going to try. Im already saveing for the full la sleeve 240 kit

The best reeds IMO are v force 4. Reeds don't have a big effect on jetting. Here is what your jetting needs to be.

Pilot - 32.5 (stock)
Needle - (stock in middle slot. Might need to try other slots)
Main - 260 - 300

Thanks for the info got the kit off jetsrus should be a few days going to keep it rich till i get it i live in the cities so i wont be able to mess with it and chop multiple plugs till this or next weekend. It rips though so im happy will need some work but for a grand im real happy.

Why do you want a 240 kit? It doesnt add performance, power, or anything (besides a big hole in the wallet)

Boysen carbon fiber old owner just finally gave me the parts list 2 weeks after selling.

I would still take them out.

You should know how they are seating...

Look for:

Not completely closed
Loose screws

Reeds can cause problems, just think if a screw fell out and landed in your top end 8-|

A 240 kit does add power. You think adding 44 cc's doesn't do anything? You are increasing displacement by about 25%

Start with a #310 main and plug chop down/up to perfection.
