I have the boyeson power reeds in my 2003 blaster. I am wondering if the cages that go on after the reeds are supposed to be there or if i should cut them away like my buddy's 2001 blaster. The picture od the reeds in the pakaging look like they have a metal plate that is supposed to replace this cage type thing. Ill put pictures on tomorrow of them for you guys to check out to know what im talking about.

the came in my wheeler when i got it. I just wanted to know if i could cut the stock bars down to where the aftermarket ones are to allow the reeds to open up more for more air and fuel to come in cuz i don't think mine are opening up far enough to give me the amount of power from the two stage reeds like im supposed to have.

yes the reed stoppers. Im thinking if i cut them down to where they are on aftermarket reeds then they will be able to open up more and allow more air/fuel in to the chamber. am i right or am i wrong. once they are in stalled into the jug they will have that to stop them since it is the same shape as the reed cage itself.
