i have finally been able to ride my blaster properly! i was with one of my friends and he said i might have a reed problem. it idles, then i give it gas and it climbs down. then i leave it idle, then give it gas. it revs up then stays up after letting the throttle go (not more than 5 seconds) so i'm wondering if it's my carb needle slide or reeds. thanks for the support I:I

Could possibly be the reeds but it sounds more like an air leak to me and you prob shouldn't ride it until a leak down test is down. Does anyone else agree?

X-2 on that ^^^ also check that your throttle cable is operating properly. With engine off push throttle then quickly release it by letting thumb slide off it. Can you hear slide snap closed?

When was the last time you or anyone else lubed their throttle cable ??? :o 8-|

an air leak in the motor? or the carb? and how much does one cost shipped to quebec canada from someone on the forum? and who do i contact to get one?

I don't think any member on here sells them anymore, but maybe if you talked to some people. The easiest way to get one is to make it yourself, ik it sounds really hard, but its not :p

I normally just stick the straw of the WD-40 can in the opening and give it a quick shot, work the throttle back and forth and repeat.

WD40 is not recommended as a lasting and may cause the cable to gum up and stick somewhere down the track.:o:o:o

Chase all that penetrant out with a light machine oil.
