Reed temp?

I got Silicone RTV gasket maker for my reeds, its rated for 650 Degrees is that good enough or will it get hotter than that?

Most of us use the red or ultra copper color, seems to work better with the gas and oil. Rated for 700 degrees.

I used the blue on mine. Temps don't get that hot. It's not the RTV that does the main sealing. It's just a precaution in case your mounting surfis is a little warped.
