Hey guys i had bought a blaster like 9 months ago from a friend for $250 in the beginning it would start up then turn off so i toook it apart and when i removed the piston i notice that they had been running it with little amount of oil so it was all scratch up th cylinder had minor scratches that were able to get snd down, so this past tuesday a i got a new piston kit 0.60 wiseco and put it on cleaned everything took the carburator apart and when i kick start it it wont go,if i spray a lil carburator cleaner through the carb it will start but rapidly die do u guys have any idea what mite be the problem need help please.

sounds like a fuel problem, make sure your carb is getting fuel and then make sure the motor is getting fuel from the carb.

at first it was getting to much gas but since i put the new piston its not getting that much gas and ive cleaned the carb already took it aprt would the reed be causing a porblem?

you need to hone it. your wall might have flat spots now. also your piston to wall clearance might be too much. meaning no compression.

135 is more than enough for a blaster engine to run.

I wouldn't have used sand paper on the cylinder but just about anything can be done in a pinch to knock the glaze off.

The carburetor has stopped up jets or passages, the reeds are broken, or you have an ignition problem.

Don't spray carburetor in your engine to start it. You can use starting fluid but only if it has a top end conditioner in it and even then you really shouldn't use it because you shouldn't have to use it.... the engine should start on it's own.

man! dont scare me, i just got my piston today and im taking it to the shop hopefully i dont start one of these threads, good luck getting it started and make sure you come back and post the solution if you figure it out. i hate reading threads with problems and after reading it all the person didnt come back and put what was wrong with it

ok guys so i took the vforce3 reeds off and put the oem ones and a working carb and try pull starting it and it would start but rapidly die. i think it mite be ignition problems plus i compare my blaster to my friend and notice I'm missing few wire parts on bike! like the SWITCH ASSY but i dnt knw if all the years have it.
