I have an 03 blaster and i was wondering if the rear taillight worked as an actual taillight or if it was more of a light. Nothing happens when I press either of the brakes. when i have my lights on it lights? is that normal?

mine doesnt do that, maybe it does but i dont think so, i know raptor 250s light red and white when you brake but idk about it being on all the time.

yes they are always on when you turn the headlight on
and
no it does not work as an actual brake light

umm mine works as an actual brake light. Sounds like you have one element out in your bulb. I know for sure the 2003-06 function as a brake and taillight. I thought the older ones did too but now that I think of it there are no wires going to the brake handle on the 2002 and older blaster.

There is wires going to the foot brake and hand break on my 95 blaster. But my tail light dont work at all becuz the wirings screwed up at the moment.SO i cant tell ya what it does yet.

I have a 2001 and mine works as a tail light and a brake light. There is a sensor on a spring that attaches to the rear brake pedal.

ditto for my 2003 model. when the light switch is on i have workign rear brake lights/tail light.
