Well... my rear skid plate is really bent up. Like... my brake rotor is actually like through it and my chain rubs a ton. I've taken it off and beaten it back into shape, but its really messed up now... so... should I buy a new one for $75-100 or should I just take it off and forget about it? It obviously protects it if it is that messed up.

Yeah. I'm mostly strip mine/wood riding. I'll probably just bend this one back half-way and wait until christmas.

Yeah. That would be nice. Now that you say that, some kid at school told me he was parting out his Blaster, I'll have to ask him. If I could get that off of him, that would be awesome.

If it's that bent, I wouldn't remove it!! You could bend it back and try to reinforce it if you're on a budget!

Otherwise, I recommend the thicker aluminum aftermarket ones, I think from armadillo. I have an aluminum one on one of my blasters and it's totally bent up into the sprocket and such....

New or old, they can be a huge money saver. Bend the old one back and use it. I bounce my skid plate off of rocks, stumps, etc. I feel they are a necessity!

my next one will be the "prm" brand they seem to have the best ground clearence, sh*ts really rough around here, the one i got from "305" hung low, and is already on it's last leg

i just made some cheap ones they work alright

That custom job looks good. I'll probably end up with something similar to that.
