Godfather to the blaster family
I have been toying wth the idea of making a rear long travel kit for the 400 ex shock. it would be a link that relocated the shock mount on the swingarm to provide aprox. 10" of travel (stock travel is actually about 5"), the kit would bolt to the original shock mount and probably require the end user to weld 2 tabs to the swingarm. would ther be any interest in the kit?? cost would be $100 or less. it would be setup for 20" tires. I would need interest in at least 15 kits to cover R&D and tooling, ebay would probably cover 5 of the kits...so I would need serious interest from at least 10 people to make the whole project worth while.

I really wish someone was around toledo so I had a stock bike to mess with.

i would be interested in something like this. count me own for one if you make em. also just an idea , maybe if you do it make it a whole kit including a shock for the people that dont already have em just to make it easier

theres alot of people with 18's like myself so if there was some way to have a version for both. i dont even know what would have to change for the tire size. what is it? simple?

If i build my buggy and you are still working on the kit next winter or spring i could probably get mine up there if you would need a stock rear suspension. Ill be 16 so i could get it to Toledo. But i dont think anyone would tow it up to you for me right now. It will be interesting to see how it works.

hey phragle i was gonna do something like that with a home made linkage, but got side tracked with other things lol, but if u could send me some pics possibly?? that would be great

I would be interested .I would love to have 10 inches of travel on the rear.I think you should do it...Great for some trail riding .sign me up

yeah deff count me in i have the 400ex shock already, how low would the frame be to the ground with 20" tires?

Guys Phragle is the man when it comes to suspension... He probably doesn't recognize my s/n on this forum, but a few years ago me and my dad were real big into the blaster scene. I've moved up to a 450 now and haven't been in the blaster forums as much. I have one of his Long Travel setups for the rear end and it is AMAZING!!! At the time it was a one off setup Idk if he has made anymore. I'm just letting you guys know if you buy from him, you will get a good, quailty product. You have my word on that.
