Hey guys, still having problems with my new blaster.. so i got the crank cleaned up, new bored jug and piston on it. but when i bought it, it didnt have a carb. so i took the one off of my 96 blaster.

Earlier today it didnt have spark. so i took off the tors system. now i got spark. now she runs. but when i start her up, it just revs like i have it pinned. i noticed the fly wheel cover was off. . . . . (stupid me) so i put that on, and tried it, and no difference.

I was reading about this, people say air leak? and to do a leak test?? what is that. how do i do it? and also. there is a nipple between my clutch basket and my jug. what is this for? would this be my air leak?

Let me know, thanks in advanced guys!

air leaks are gonna be on your gaskets usually. a leak tester plugs the intake and exhaust and pumps air into the top end. if it holds pressure then you good. if not, air leak.

and where would i get one of these? price range? ugh! one thing after another with this. . .

there is a screw on the carb that lets in a sertent amout of air when some people crean there carb they dont think about that screw and ajust the screw under the seat to even it out i tested my 1 for air leas it was fin so thats wat i done and it works thanks

The nipple behind cylinder is trans vent, should have hose that goes up by steering loop then back down couple inches. Double check that needle on slide is going down into emulsion tube. You did have carb off. Also make sure throttle cable is not hangig. Still have TORS brick? check that POS

take your carb off and put it back on and line the long gap up with the screw sticking out on the inside while reataching the jet

No, its off. and okay, i got a long piece of hose. and how can i adjust the needle? its way different then my snowmachine carbs. those are so easy to adjust.. this looks like u have to screw it out?

and anyone know how many turns for the carb screw, from all the way in, and the one under the seat?

dont touch that just reinsert the caping thing that is attached to TORS and make sure the long line along side the thing holding the jet is inserted correctly and that should fix the problem

i cut that out.... the guy on the video told me to. and when the tors was on, i had NO spark. so ill just take it off my other blaster?? the one that came with the carb?

Push throttle fully, let go quickly, should be able to hear slide snap down with a light clunk/click. If not pull air boot and look to see if slide is going down all the way. Check that cap is tight on carb, clamp on boot is tight.

Blaster30 you should really study that manual thingy ma bob so you can use the proper teminoligy for parts in question. My grey matter thingy translator whatchit no comprende

Idle adjusting.

Start with air screw (carb screw) 1.5 turns out.

Set idle screw ( the one under the seat) so that it has some sort of idle.

Warm up motor and then set idle screw for a fast idle.

Adjust air screw either way to get the fastest idle.

Adjust air screw a little at a time leaving 10 secs to allow the motor to respond.

Re adjust idle screw for desired idle .
