race kart not running

btw, who is the manufacturer of that frame? we had two margay's, one tony kart, and an edge. the tony kart was mine, and was by far the easiest to adjust everything on. i had it setup to where it would bite so hard in the turns that it would sometimes lift up the two inside tires off the ground

that is a hpv100 i believe, but i'm pretty sure that is a walbro carb. do you have to use a starter box to start it? or does it have a starter on it? i never had a hpv engine, so i dont know exact specs. but i will tell you, jetting is really touchy on the race kart engines. if your idle screw is rich, it wont start at all. and you'll have to wait a little bit for the cylinder to dry out before it will start. i'd say change your fuel, turn the fuel mix screws in and try it again

its an italsistem engine.. so change fuel and let less fuel in?

not sure on what the frame is at all.. the front seems reallly light.. like you can turn and itll go straight for a bit.. can that be adjusted?

yeah, there should be bars that you can add into the frame or remove and it will change how loose or tight it goes through the turns. also, you can add spacers on the spindles to widen or narrow the front end by a little bit, and your spindles should be able to adjust the caster or camber. everything you do will change it a little bit. also, tire choice and tire pressure has alot to do with it. i have never heard of that type of engine. they didnt run anything like that here. i'm assuming its the same though. just try to lean it out a bit, and see if it fires.

actually, after i looked a little harder at the pics, it doesnt look like you have one of those bars in the front end like ours did. so maybe you can just add lead weights to the front end and adjust the spindles to see where that takes you

and weres the air-filter? lol

most race karts dont use an air filter. just an air pod that is open to the elements. some people put an outerwear over it, but most dont. that way there is no restrictions....

this is a pic of a margay i pulled off cometkartsales. the circled yellow parts are what i'm talking about with the removable bars. there are two on this frame. you clamp bars in there, and it tightens the frame up, loosening the kart through the turns. i see you dont have one in the front, but is there one on the back of your frame?

myusername i tried to start it again today.. made it lean and everything and plug still wet when it comes out.. fuked up my drill turning it over iswell :( :( i messed with the idle screws iswell to make it leaner and richer.. not even a jig or a gig out of it :(

myusername i got it going.. kinda :( had to weld clutch and leave it in constant drive.. it needs a serious big push and it starts runnin but its weak.. then it pics up and takes off then bogs down.. and ideas? tuninig? never tuned small carb like that before.
