NAFTA my ass!

so the engine i got from 442 ended up having a 140 some dollar customs charge, which is more than what i got, and means basically the end of my build till i get my job back in the spring

because the engine is "made" in japan, it doesnt qualify for NAFTA (north amaerican free trade agreement) so i got to pay that chit now

i have to thank 442 for being gracefull threw the whole thing, not only through thos latest crap.

bottom line is, i will have to borrow money from my parents which i hate doing, and will likely have to sells some of my parts for less cause i need to live, which means i wont be getting my shee axle for some time, which brings the build to a dead stop...

i just went out on our rink for an our and took my anger out on the net with some slap shots, broke some stuff, still mad, and have no solution the money side of things but i will figure it out



and awk, it was sent as a gift but in order to have insurance on it, it needed to have a customs value, which is where i got screwed, if i hadnt have got insurance and it got lost or damaged i would have been more p/o'ed but whatevs

dang canada, u guys should jump when you still can and we will build a wall just like the great mexican wall...lol jk. this is quite the conundrum.... do you have family in the states? you could refuse the charges and have 442 re-send it to ur family and when it come time u can drive and pick it up and smuggle it over lol. or make a road trip to 442's idk that sucks what a way to celebrate the holidays.... hmmmm or all of us on the forum could donate a dollar each to the W.N.E. Fund (whitty needs an engine fund) and help with the charges, i would be more than happy to donate

i already have the engine and it is paid for, but the customs were charged to 442, threw his account or something, so i owe him right now, i already owe him 30 still for other parts i am waiting on lol.

also there is no blue in my blood, i am straight red and white, and plan to stay here lol

ya that customs fee will get ya. i had to pay an $80 fee for my shocks. and a $110 for my fmf pipe i got a long time ago.
