I have a cj 146 main jet,i Google it and it said it was a tuning jet for a 250r I think, what size is it for a 06 Yamaha blaster?

It said a stock blaster was like 230,this 146 is a pretty big hole,I've drilled out another one I have and it just flooded the bike,I need like a comparison chart

Never drill a jet out they have different sizes for a reason..if the bike is completely stock then order a mikuni hex main jet 230!! Dont need a comparison chart just order a genuine mikuni jet!!

We need to know what carb is fitted.

The jet numbers you are quoting would seem to fit a carb other than the stock Mikuni 26mm.

Thanks for the help but I found one out a old blaster carb,i have a 240cc blaster and I have vforce 3 reeds I wanted to try but every time I install it the bike never cranks...?I blow in it and air flows good but when I suk threw it,it makes a screechin sound idk if thats normal

I have a stock carb

Blocks bored like 50 over..I have a FMF full pipe, stock carb with no tors system,I think I have a Yamaha warriror rear end on it,stock reeds and I'm guessing stock jets, when I sick threw the reeds from the part that hooks up on the carb side,it makes harmonica sound

You said it was a stock carb, if so the following are ballpark settings to get you started.

#260 main jet
#32.5 pilot jet
Needle clip in middle slot.

If you have an after market air filter + 2 sizes on main jet.

If the airbox lid is off or drilled up the main 2 more sizes.

Sucking back through the reeds will produce sound if the petals are not tightly fitted to the openings.

A little gap is allowable as the crankcase compression will cause them to close.

I am always astounded when I find new method of diagnosing problems.

The above method would allow a blind mechanic to diagnose reed gap problems.

Believe it or not in our little town of Casino, we have a blind mechanic, when he did his training he topped the whole of Australians in his practical examinations.

Go to your local Yamaha dealer an buy the jets you need in singles there 2.00 or less per jet.
I thought you said in first post you had 240 with vf3 reeds.
Fyi the 250r runs a keihin pj34 carb. Nothing about that carb is same as stock blaster carb, the whole carb will fit though with aftermarket intake, but id only use that carb on a highly modded engine, as it will lose some low end power but gain alot more top end, but also those on carbs are hard to tune because the idle circuit is part of the choke circuit, i prefer the pwk series keihin carbs

Right I just had some and was trying out the jet kit I had, here's the deal rode my bike a lot today, bad bad sluggish pick up in low rpms....but high rpms was great it had a banshee top end on speed lol prolly around 60-65 mph maybe more idk but is it normal for the slow pick up

I forgot the piston I'm using I'll let u know what I have, don't laugh give me on sec to find the names of these pistons

I have a wiseco piston that lost a ring, and I just bought a nurama piston that snapped only one ring cuz it was loose in the cylinder,I put that ring on my wiseco piston...js if that can cause it

I'm using a e3 that fell out my cylinder as we speak lol anyway its a e3 48 spark plug

That's what caused the sluggish rmp?lmao think so sry mate

Good one Blaaster!!

OP, it's time you list exactually what you have. Size of motor, porting y/n, pipe, air box, carb, ALL mods.
I want to port it out seen a couple videos on the exhaust port, the intake I can't really tell what they talking about in the video lol

It still had a sluggest take off tho even when the spark plug was tight
