So here is my completed Tri-z engine and swingarm into a blaster conversion. From the start i was going to do a build up thread but I ended up being too busy going full steam ahead. The swingarm fit almost without modification but a completely new shock mount had to be made and the old one removed for aircleaner clearance. I also used to Tri-z pipe since i didn't want any mismatch in parts that could result in poor performance. I could have had a custom pipe made but since my budget was almost zero i had to use the Tri-z pipe, to do this i had to cut part of the frame and build plates around the pipe. To reconnect to the bottom rail i made billet removable bars that also act as front motor mounts. Anyway there is a lot more to it if anyone wants to know more. A lot more to it than i expected, but i feel happy with the end result. I also took pics along the way if people want to see them.
Feels like quite a bit more power, and quite a bit more vibrations. But i am young ill take more power any day. I figure the tri-z is about 30 hp, maybe a little more or less, so that is almost twice the power. It feels about 1.5 times as far as i can tell, but i haven't ridden it much. I am going to the dunes tomorrow so we will see how fast it is and if i can keep all the nuts and bolts in it!
