Putting my engine back on

I just got my bottom end back from ken. i have a question about installing the top end gaskets.When i put on the gaskets do i need to use sealents i got the cometic gasket set. If i do need to use anything else can you tell me what and how i apply it thanks.

I install the gaskets without anything on them. I use the O.E.M gaskets myself.

i dont have the oem set. and i dont know how well these hold up

i usually use a very very small amt on the base gasket and the reed gasket but nothing on the head gasket. cometic is just as good as oem in my opinion, i use them often...

what kind of sealent do i use and do i just put it around the gasket itself

I use a little grey rtv on the intake gaskets. Other than that just install dry.

Cometic are good gaskets. They're the only aftermarket gaskets that I would use

Leak it down before you run it to ensure its all sealed up before you run it!
