I have split my cases and pulled the crank out but I've been readin the manual and i need a puller to put the new crank back in has anyone done this without usin the puller If so please let me know

i forget exactly how i did mine i think i put the crank cases in the oven to heat, expand the metal forget what temp. put the crank bearings in the freezer overnight to shrink. then the bearings slip right in with no probs. then what a day later and put the stator side case back in the oven, put the crankshaft in the freezer. same process. to pull the clutch side case on to the crankshaft and join to the other side i believe i set it on as strait as possible then used small metal pipe fittings that go over the crankshaft and set against the outside of the case and metal washers. tighten down to bottom of threads and the crankshaft then add more washers. to get it closer down. hope i didnt confuse you.

never had a problem or needed more than basic tools to change the crank in mine.

they seem to bind more at the shifter shaft than anywhere else.
just slide the left side case half on.

have you installed the new crank bearings in the case halves?
